No, this isn't the elusive Stadium Events that all you moronic NES collectors shell out hundreds to sometimes thousands of dollars on.  This is the one you shell out hundreds to thousands of dollars on then swiftly kick yourself in the ass sometime afterwards when you notice the "B" on the label of your cart.

There really is nothing special about Stadium Events in general; the NTSC version or the PAL version.  The NTSC version is just a shortly-shelved variation of World Class Track Meet that was gobbled-up by Nintendo and had all references to Bandai stripped out of it.

There are four different types of events:  100M Dash, 110M Hurdles, Long Jump and Triple Jump.  Stadium Events uses the Powerpad to control the characters.  To start an event; place your feet or fingers firmly on the center starting point of the pad.

The differences between the NTSC and PAL versions:

NTSC

PAL

Other than the titlescreen slightly changed, the only difference is that the PAL version has a slightly more up-beat soundtrack than the NTSC version even when PAL mode is enabled.

Big thanks goes out to Kev again for making my CopyNES and to Ace of Simplynes for loaning me the cart.
