Bao Xiao Tien Guo "Dying of Laughter in Heaven" by ESC

Grab a bowl of popcorn, you could be here for a while...

Although the ironic title and initial eye candy may attract potential gamers looking for a quick fix, extremely slow gameplay will deter even the most seasoned strategy gamer.

The villains at Waixing have struck again; creating a slow-paced war/strategy game that rivals Bio Hazard in boredom.  The game features a graphically-pleasing intro followed by a generic title screen, then a plethora of confusing menu options. After randomly picking through the choices, the game is started, pitting the RED army vs. the BLUE.  The player is first greeted by an over-sized infant clad in traditional war garb that runs across the battlefield, signifying a change in turns.

"Dying of Laughter in Heaven" is based around a classic strategy menu system.  Pressing the B button will display all players' current health points any time during the game.  Pressing the A button will give the player an option of Healing, Moving, or Attacking.  After gaining experience from battle, the player will be able to assign one of three army classes to each of his Sentries. Horsemen, Warriors, and Archers are all available for selection.  After a two hour ordeal, the player may finally beat the red forces, and proceed to the next level.

"Dying of Laughter in Heaven" freezes in many places like other Waixing games.  It is believed that the game uses a mapper where SRAM is disabled (Emulator authors may need to enable it.)  When the game attempts to access the saved data, it crashes, leaving the gamer free of Waixing's strangle-hold.

You're in for hell.

Big thanks to Puzsta of TPU for the dump and Lucky for the translation and romaji!
